1. Prepare the site as per Vastu Shastra before commencing construction. Clean the site of all inauspicious objects.
2. Pits, depressions and wells located in inauspicious portions of the site should be filled up and land surface should be leveled. The construction will proceed at a faster speed in a plot cleansed and purged as per Vastu Shastra.
3. Digging of the soil for laying the foundation should be in the following order: North-East sector, then North-West sector, then South-East and the South-West sector.
4. Laying of the foundation should be in the reverse order, i.e. first South-West sector, then South-East, then North-West and lastly North-East.
5. A water source on the site should be dug and a well / bore well / underground water tank should be preferably be placed in the East or North-East. Having a water body in the South-East or South of the house can cause damage to the child or wife of the owner. An underground water tank in South-West can be fatal to the head of the family.
6. Have the compound walls on the south and west higher and thicker than the north and east walls.
7. Use new construction material for a fresh construction. Second-hand building material like stone, iron and used wood (used door and window frames) should not be used in construction of a new house. Old/ used material can be used while renovating the house.
8. Flooring slope should be from south-west to north-east to facilitate the water flow in the house.
9. The septic tank should not be in the south-east, north-east or south-west corners of the plot. Pit for septic tank should be in north of north-west or west of north-west only.
10. Open space should be kept all around the building, that is four sides of the house. It gives us luck to the house and full of lighting, flowing of air. Open space at agneya and vayavya should be equal. The main building should be constructed in the south-west of the plot leaving more open space in north and east. More open space in north or east gives name, fame and prosperity to the residents. Leaving more open space in south and west side of the house can affect the male members adversely, where in a factory. It leads to financial losses and disputes amongst partners.
11. Depression in south-west can result in serious illness to the residents, whereas depression in north-west causes enmity and litigation. The depression in south portion of the building restricts growth, besides creating financial problems.
12. South side of the building should always be higher than the north. This gives good health and prosperity to the residents. Incase the north is higher than the south it results in ill health and losses.
13. West portion of the building should be higher than the east for favorable growth of children. A lower west leads to problems to and from children.
14. South-west should be higher than north-east for all round prosperity and good health. A higher north-east causes severe ill health and loss of prosperity for the owner.
15. The central portion or Brahmasthan should not be depressed. Heavy objects, wells, lifts and toilets are totally prohibited in the Brahmasthan.
16. Atleast 30 percent of house walls should have doors and windows for sufficient flow of air and light. More windows should be kept towards north and east side of the house.
17. Balconies or terraces should be north and east sides.
18. Plant trees at all parts of the house(except Ishan), but follow these small hints

Heavy trees at south,west, southwest corners and agneya, vayavya sides.Creepers and small plants at East,North, northeast corners.,better to avoid trees at Ishan corner, if you strongly wish you can develop grass at Ishan corner.

In residential / commercial structure, it is advisable to keep more open space in north and east. Atleast 30 percent of house walls should have doors and windows for sufficient flow of air and light. More windows should be kept towards north and east side of the house. After deciding about the entrtance, place windows in the positive energy sections. Balconies should be in the north and east sides only.

1. Doors should be placed in auspicious grid position as per vastu chakra. It is important that main doors placed in auspicious grids should be used regularly and they must be kept open to welcome the auspicious energy to flow in the house. The front door is considered the mouth of the house and needs to be active every day. Atleast once in a day enter through your front door.
2. Never make a main door in the extended or cut portion of the plot.
3. A main door in the middle of the structure is inauspicious for residences and commercial establishments. It indicates ruin for the family. Such doors are recommended only for religious buildings.
4. Doors and windows should be proportionate to the main building. Doors which are too big or too small are bad.
5. The main door should be the biggest and most majestic than the other doors in the building. The main door is the index of the quality of the good vibrations of the house. It should always open inwards.
6. Never place doors directly opposite each other in the east and west or in north and south.

The properties of the ucchasthana and Neechasthana doors.

• East House: Door is at Northeast or East side     -   Fame and Knowledge.
• North House: Door is at Northeast or North side -   Fortune & wealth.
• South House: Door is at Southeast side - Happiness.
• West House: Door is at Northwest side - Does overall good.
• Neechasthana door of East face house is at South-East: Increases chances of bad   ways, getting cheated or cheating tendencies in the owner.
• South face house neechasthana door is at southwest   : Trouble within the household, financials crisis and ill health.
• West face house neechasthana door is at sSouthwest: Financial losses, general trouble, increases chances of health and financial troubles in men and renders them total defeats, sudden collapse of firms or system.
• North side house neechasthana door is at northwest in North   : People moving through this door will not have mental stability and they might fall prey to bad habits, debts, court cases, saint philosophy.
• If the main door to the house is stiched in a right place according to vastu shastra then the position of the inmates’ raisen day by day.  Doors are the main and very important in vastu shastra., dont forget this while sitting the doors at house, factory or in any other constructions.

• The Bigger sizes of windows in North or East direction allow good “pranashakti” to enter in house/vaastu. As per Indian vaastu science, north brings prosperity while East brings progress and health. Check doors at your place where they are and rectify them to get abundance of health and wealth.
• Installing windows at Nairuthi (southwest) portion effects lot to the inmates; don’t put windows at Nairuthi corner.
• Windows at Northeast corner brings development, strength, happiness, prosperity, luck, works made easy.
• Windows at east brings us name, works made easy, health.
• Windows at north brings us prosperity, money flow, happiness.
• Windows should be very large ones at East, North and Northeast sides.
• Windows should be medium ones at southeast corners and northwest corners.
• Windows should be small ones at west and south sides.
• Windows should be very smallest ones at southwest room.
• Don’t  fit windows at southwest corner of the south west room, at any cost this should not be installed.
• There is no counting for the windows,no importance for the counting of the windows.

1. The right place for the Pooja room is in the North-East. Pooja room can be in the East or North of the house also. Pooja room may be seated at Brahmasthan. Pooja room should not be placed at Nairuti (southwest) corner of the house.
2. For a small house where a separate Pooja room is not feasible, make a small temple in the north-east corner of the kitchen or children’s room. Do not keep temple/ pooja room in the bedroom, under or above or opposite a toilet or under the stairs. Pooja room wall should not touch the walls of latrine or Bath room.
3. Pooja room should not be above electrical appliances or gas stoves.
4. God may face to east or west, some times north also good. But south is not good. Statues or pictures of dietites should be placed on a solid raised platform.
5. Always face north or east while praying.
6. Pooja room should not be placed at outside of the house.
7. Idols should not be kept facing each other. Chipped/ broken statues should not be kept in the pooja room.
8. Doors for the pooja room should be of good quality wood and of two shutters. A threshold for this room is a must.
9. Pyramid shaped roofs are good for the prayer room as they enhance the power of meditation.
10. It is important to keep the pooja room clean and free of clutter and no other things except pooja materials kept.
11. Avoid having pictures of your ancestors in the pooja room along with the pictures of deities.
12. Free air should be passed at pooja room. It should not be totally closed or air tightened.
13. One should not sleep at Pooja Room. Pooja room is kept only for God.

1. The best location of the kitchen is in the south-east of the house. Kitchen can also be placed in south of south-east, east of south-east, north of north-west or east.
2. If your kitchen is in the North-east or south-west of your house, shift the cooking to the Agneya (south-east) corner of your kitchen. Face east while cooking.
3. The kitchen should have big windows in north and east to let in plenty of natural light.
4. The kitchen sink should be in the north-east corner(Eesanya). Drinking water and water containers should be kept in north-east or north side.
5. The person cooking at stove should be able to see anyone coming into the room without turning head too far. A door just behind the gas stove is considered bad.
6. Keep the gas stove always clean and well looked after. The burners should be kept unblocked and regularly in use.
7. Do not have the kitchen over or below a toilet or under the staircase.
8. Never place the sink and gas stove or refrigerator and gas stove (water and fire) adjacent each other or exactly opposite each other.
9. The gas stove should not be placed below a beam. Either shift the gas stove or cover the beam with a false ceiling.
10. The kitchen should not be directly in front of the main door and the gas stove should not be opposite the main entrance and should not be visible from the outside door.
11. The kitchen should have plenty of natural light and ventilation and should have an airy, spacious and welcoming feel. If it is dark and gloomy, arrange to have sufficient artificial lighting.
12. You can place food articles at west side of the kitchen.
13. The flooring level of the kitchen is equal to the remaining house flooring.
14. There should be no leaking taps in the kitchen. This affects the money flow, and actually water should not be waste at any place including kitchen.
15. Shelves for the storage for grains at south,west and southwest sides only.
16. Refrigerator can be placed on the north-west corner or south-west corner of the kitchen.
17. If the kitchen is adjoining to a bed room, the wall between them should be thicker than the other walls.
18. Exhaust fan should be installed on the eastern wall of the south-east corner.
19. Drinking water/ Water filter may be placed in the North-East or it may be placed in North-West corner.

1. The ideal location for the construction of dining room is the West or south portion of the house.
2. If you want to place a fridge (Refrigerator) in the dining room, then southeast direction would be just apt for the same.
3. Kitchen is the proper place to have your daily meals (in olden days our elders doesnt have dining table or dining room, they are taking food at kitchen only) but never face South while having your meals it creates stomach disorders, indigestion and other related problems.
4. If you want to make provision for the fitting of washbasin in your dining room, then the right place would be either eastern or northern or northwest corners.
5. Dining table should not be sticking to the wall. Maximum try for this, or sticking to the wall is must then go for west or south side walls, at any cost dining table should not be stick to the northeast corner or at east or north sides also.
6. Square or rectangle shape dining table is just perfect for the room.
7. The dining room and kitchen both are on the same floor, lying adjacent to each other or equalent to same with each other.
8. It is most profitable to have the dining room in the west side of the building. If it is in the east or the north it is tolerably good.
9. While taking food, the head of the family should sit facing the east. Others should sit facing the east, the west or the north. However, try to nobody should sit facing the south. If it is done, unnecessary quarrels may take place.
10. Nature portraits and paintings in the dining room makes the atmosphere happy.
11. East, south or west portion of the house are for the dining rooms.
12. The dining room can be an extension of the kitchen or drawing room.  In case the kitchen is located in the South-East, the dining room can be made either in the East or South of the kitchen.  If the kitchen is located in North-West, the dining room can be made in the North or West of the kitchen.
13. To enjoy the feeling of spaciousness do not have too much furniture in this room.  The main focus of this room is the dining table itself.  The table should be preferably rectangular. Fridge can be kept in the South-East of the dining room.
14. There should not be any attached toilet in the dining room. There is no harm in an attached room used for washing clothes or utensils. Paintings/posters of appetising food can be placed on the walls of the dining room.

1. At our residence we spare most of our time is at "bed room" the next best room is "living room". We should take care of this living room in our home. We should not neglect on this part of our house.
2. The owner of the house has to sit at living room and has to faced to east or north sides only. The other members or outsiders has to sit in front of the owner or side to the owner of the house.
3. At east face house or north face house, there is one good quality point in this living room as the members of the house or owner of the house has to sit at living room (here the living room should placed at north-east(isanya) corner of the house only), then the good vibrations from Eshan(northeast) corner has arrive and will get the same vibrations from east side and north sides, these vibrations are more effective to the family members of the house.
4. The owner of the family has to sit on the nairuthi corner(southwest) chair.
5. You can put telephone to the south,west side walls so that you can easily handle the phone.
6. If the living room is at eshan (northeast corner) the flooring of the living room is lower than the entire house, it gives very good effect to the family.
7. Most of the houses the front room may be the living room, and most of the living rooms are wide and larger than all the rooms at house, well here vastu works in a hidden method, if at one east facing house there might be living room is the front room, its correct method and giving good results to the inmates.
8. North facing house inmates also receives  good results by putting living room at front side i.e., living room is front side. But where as it should not happen at west side facing houses and south side facing houses. Here the inmates must take most precautionary methods by setting the living room as the first room where is in before the entrance.  Don’t construct the living room as front room at west side houses and south side houses, if you want to construct the living room at front side then consult a good vastu practioner for best suggestions.
9. You can keep number of doors to the living room, but all the doors should be at correct places as per the vastu shastra. You are aware that “doors” plays an very important role at house as per vastu shastra. Once again remember living room got 2nd rank at house after Bed room as per vastu, in general living room got 1st rank as per our living style.
10. Keep the centre of the room empty. Heavy loads, centre tables or artifacts should not be placed in the centre of the room. Instead use square tables alongside the sofas or chairs.
11. Do not place couches or chairs under exposed beams as these overhead beams can be oppressive, stressful and create discord.

Since we are spending one-third of our lives in the bed, its location is of utmost importance. Spending close to 8 hours a day in the same area, the inherent properties of specific zones work on our subconscious and mould our life accordingly.

The location of a bedroom and the sleeping position has a bearing on our mental and physical well-being.Different zones in Vastu having particular significance are suited for different family members. The shuffling of bedrooms between family members, allocation of the right bedroom for each member and correction of the sleeping position can bring definite positive results for the household.

1. Avoid having bedrooms in the North-East and South-East sectors of the house.
2. In case of bedroom in North-East, only the elderly or children should use it. This bedroom is not good for the master of the house or for a young couple. When couple sleeps in a Northern or North-East bedrooms, their family does not grow.
3. Use the South-West or South bedroom for the master of the house or for the elder son.
4. South-East bedroom gives rise to sleeplessness, worries and marital problems. If the head of the family is in South-East, he is found to be constantly embroiled in disputes. Newly married couples should definitely avoid this room. This is also not a good zone for pregnant ladies.
5. North-West direction is ruled by Vayu or Air. This is a good zone for placement of marriageable daughter’s bedroom. North-West bedrooms are also good for newly weds and for couples planning to have a baby(It is recommended that after conception, the couple should move to a southern bedrooms). This can be good for Guest bedroom.
6. Bedrooms should not be located in the central portion of the house. Brahmasthan attracts a lot of energy which is not conducive to the main objective of a bedroom providing rest, peace and tranquility.
7. Square or rectangular bedrooms are the best.
8. Beds must be of good quality wood. They should be solid and must not be shaky.
9. Shoes,slippers,etc.should not be kept under the bed. Try to keep the area under the bed as clean as possible as dirt and dust accumulate a lot of negativity.
10. The foot of the bed should not directly face the door of the room. Shift the bed to a place in the room which is not directly opposite the door and the occupants can see anyone entering the bedroom.
11. The bed should not be placed under a beam. If there is no alternative, by using the false ceiling to make the beam disappear.
12. Do not place a mirror directly in front of the bed. If there is a dressing table, place it such that the bed does not get reflected in its mirror or keep the mirror covered.
13. The south-west area of the bedroom should not be kept empty. Keep heavy furniture or almirah or heavy stone statues here.
14. Do not have a temple in the bedroom.
15. Avoid having a door in the South-West of a bedroom. If possible, block it permanently.
16. Ideal direction for placing the head while sleeping is south. North is totally prohibited. Sleeping with towards East increases mental peace, good thoughts and spirituality. Thus allowed for children and students. Sleeping with head towards West gets troubled and distressing thoughts.
17. Generally bed room is placed at southwest(nairuthis) corner of the house, so the nairuthi(southwest) outside of the house sould not be defectable, otherwise the inmates of that bedroom facing so many problems and troubles.
18. It is best to have the bedrooms in the South, South-West and West. At no cost should the bed room be built in the North-East, East or North. It is not good for the house owner’s health and the financial well being to have his bed room in the North-East, East or North. Some times the inmates of that bed room may be facing lots of difficulties with others, mostly financial, health, sufferings from unneccessary expenditures etc.
19. People sleeping in South-East in East bedrooms suffer from sleeplessness, anxiety and short temper.
20. The owner sleeping in North-West bed rooms suffers instability.
21. It is best for the house owner to sleep in the South-West room and in case not possible in the South-West room and then arrangements can be made in the South or West rooms.
22. Direction for the head to be placed while sleeping: If the head is towards the South then, with sound sleep and lesser tensions,  the health  improves.   If the head is towards the East, then improvement in knowledge.   If the head is towards the West, then ill health.   If the head is towards the North, then bad dreams, ill health and disturbed sleep.
23. Place the cupboard in the bedroom at South, West or Southwest(nairuthi).
24. Place the Bed at Southwest (nairuthi) leaving some place at south,west and southwest corners as shown at the above picture, the next best place is place the bed at south, the third best place is west side. If the bed is placed at east side then illhealth observes, misunderstandings, male candidate has to face unnecessary words from his wife or with others., if the bed is placed at Agneya corner (southeast) tentious life experience., if the bed is placed at north then financial problems, illhealth, misunderstanding between family members, doubtful nature., if the bed is placed at vayavya (northwest) corner.
25. The bedrooms of the head of the family should be in the south-west corner of the west side. If there are more than one floor, the head of the family should have a bed room on the upper storey in the south-west corner of the west direction. This room is also good for adult married children. But under no condition it should be a bedroom of the younger children. There are clashes and unnecessary quarrels in the house. A bedroom in the south direction can also be tolerated.
26. Avoid placing the divine idols in the bedroom., and also devine photo frames.
27. As a part of Vastu guidelines for bedroom, if you want to have a bookshelf in your bedroom, then west or southwest corner is apt for this purpose.
28. The main bedroom should be on the southwest or northwest side of the house. If there is an upper story in the house, the master bedroom should be on this floor, in the southwest corner. Adult married children can also use this room. Younger children, however, should not use it because that will cause trouble in the household.
29. Bedrooms on the northeast side of the house will also cause trouble.
30. Upon rising from bed, the right foot should be placed on the floor first. If one is to study in the bedroom, the east side should be used. The wardrobe should be located on the northwest or southwest side of the bedroom. TV, heaters, and air conditioners should be located in the southeast corner.
31. At night it is advisable to keep a light burning. A night bulb will do. Never keep the bedroom pitch dark.
32. The bed room flooring should be higher than all the other rooms floring, so that the owner of the house will enjoy the standardness.
33. The main entrance to the bedroom will always be at northeast corner either towards east or north sides.
34. If the bed room door is not possible to fix at northeast corner, (generally at southwest bedrooms we can arrange door at northest corner) then go to southeast corner towards sourth side, the next one is northwest corner towards west sides only.
35. Try not to sleep in direct alignment with sharp corners. Sharp corners act as energy spears and create stress in the nervous system. There is not serenity in a room that has sharp corners except by softening them by placing plants in front of them. You can also try moving your bed away from direct alignment.
36. The cupboard in the room’s to be placed at West direction.
37. The cooler at the room is towards southeast or northwest direction, if not possible then place this one at north or east directions but it should not touch the wall at these directions
38. Bath room should be at southeast corner or northwest corner, with some care it may be placed at nairuthi also.

Children act as the future of the household and hence the children’s room should be in a place that strengthen them and gives them a mental stability that is required.

1. Children's Room or Study room, or Play room or Bed room can be in the west, south, Agneya, Vayavya, north or east of the building. west side bedroom is best for the children . An eastern bedroom can also be used for unmarried children. Avoid the southwest / master bedroom for the children. An east-facing bedroom is best for a newly married couple.
2. The beds in the children’s room can be in the southwest portion of the room and the heads should face in the east or south direction.
3. Avoid placing a mirror or television directly opposite to the bed. The mirror and the television set when switched off reflects the bed. If you must have a mirror and a television in the bedroom then have them on either the left or right side of the bed.
4. The furniture in the room should be placed a few inches away from the walls, as it saves the positive energies of body and mind.The door to the children’s bedroom should not be exactly opposite to the bed.
5. A television should never be placed in the bedroom, but if it is necessary it can be placed in north-west of the room. And a computer can be placed in south-east corner of the room.
6. In the southeast corner of the children’s room have an up lighter. This brings in positive energy and good health to the household. Also make sure that the center of the room is empty. Don’t ever put furniture in the center of the room.
7. If there has to be small furniture in the children’s room then it should be kept a few inches away from the wall. This will help in saving the positive energies of the body and the mind.
8. Child should face the east or the northeast while studying. By facing east the child will have better concentration when studying.

1. The guest room should not construct at Southwest direction of the house. Because it is meant for the Head of the Family only.
2. You can plan the Guest Room at Northwest direction. It’s clear and suitable place for the guest room.
3. Suitable doors for the guest room are North-east door towards East direction or North-east door towards North direction, south-east Door towards South direction finally north-west Door towards West direction.
4. If the guest room is situated at vayavya corner or agneya corner then the bathroom can be placed at this room at Nairuthi corner.
5. If the guest room is situated at vayavya corner then you must provide window at northeast corner towards north direction or atleast you can provide a window at west direction.
6. If the guest room is situated at Agneya corner then you have to provide a window at southeast direction, or south direction.

1. Bathroom has to be placed at any direction like east, north, south, west sides
2. Bathrooms are placed at some corners like Agneya (southeast) and vayavya (northwest), but we have to leave the Nairuthi (Southwest) and Eshan (Northeast) corners. Toilets in the north-east contaminating the most auspicious corner of the house leading to gradual weaking of finances, incurable diseases and mental tension.
3. In some cases we can construct the bathrooms at Nairuthi corners also for example at first floor or remaining floors, we should not construct the bathrooms at Nairuthi corner at ground floor.
4. At south and west direction bathrooms flooring should have upper than the flooring at remaining house flooring.
5. At east and north direction bathrooms flooring should have lower than the flooring at remaining house flooring.
6. At south and west side directions bathrooms the windows must be smaller type and at east and north side directions bathrooms the windows must be as bigger as possible.
7. Construct the verandah at south wall at south direction bathroom or at west wall at west direction bathroom.
8. Bathroom door should not be placed to go outside.
9. Toilets in front of the main entrance: The remedy for this is to keep the lid down on the toilet and to keep the toilet door closed. It would also be beneficial to place a mirror on the outside of this door to make the room symbolically disappear.
10. Use exhaust fans as well as natural ventilation to get the negative energy away.
11. Avoid leaky taps and choked drains. All leaking taps should be immediately repaired as these result is draining away of wealth. Similarly, choked up toilet drains should immediately cleaned up and declogged.

1. You must construct the steps at one good place to lading to the upstairs, the stair case should be construct according to vastu shastra, otherwise these may disturb you lot.
2. Where is the balcony at upstairs, because if u r sparing max time at upstairs then balcony plays vital role on your daily works.
3. If the balcony is at east or north side then you can enjoy the developed moments.
4. If the balcony is at west or south side you must consult one experienced vastu consultant and show u r house to them and get one good suggestion, implement it, enjoy your life then.
5. What about ups and downs at upstairs, observe them, these are the key positions in giving the results, if west, south, Nairuthi is up (elevated), you can enjoy the stability.
6. If the up (elevation) is at east, north, northeast then you may suffer with so many problems. At this position its better to have good advice with experts.
7. What about doors, are all these are at good position or in wrong position.
8. What about windows, all are at good position or in bad position.
9. Eshan should not be disturbed.
10. Top floor should be clean and tidy to have good plans if we sit and live there.

1. We should not park the car at Eshan corner, if your position is compulsory to park at Eshan corner then you have to dig one sump at Eshan corner, it must and the west and south walls should be built in strong type.
2. At any cost the car shed should not be constructed at Eshan corner.
3. Generally someone construct the car shed at Agneya corners. We should not do like this way, Agneya should not be closed and cornered.
4. Also we should not cornered the vayavya corner in the name of car shed. It’s also not good and sometimes it’s dangerous also.
5. What about Nairuthi corner car shed. It’s a wonderful idea and best, suitable place for car shed.

Compound wall is the most important subject in the vastu. Someone have got wrong opinion or ideas that if the compound wall is made before the construction of house it will cause inconvenience or difficulty for construction work and may bring the situation for the sale of the plot. Its wrong idea, we have to construct the compound wall before constructing the house. It’s always right thing

1. Every House should have compound wall. If it is not possible to construct the compound wall then atleast fencing or paling should be there.
2. The proper directions for gates are southern south east, south, west, western northwest, north, northern north east, eastrern east.
3. Compound wall gates should not be placed at eastern south east side, southern south west side, western southwest side, northern northwest directions.
4. The gate if fixed opposite the east facing entrance it becomes exiguous, so keeping the gate as it is another gate has to be erected in the elevated norh east.Then there is no wrong. If not, one gate only can set up in the elevated eastern north east. Not opposite the house. Then north east passage will be there.
5. Compound wall should be lower in height than the main entrance of east or north facing houses.
6. For houses with south or west facing entrances, compound wall can be less or more in height than the main entrance.
7. Some times compound walls collapse in the corners. If such an eventuality occurs in west, southern south west, eastern south east and northern north west reconstruction should be taken up immediately.
8. Any entrance facing any direction may see the compound wall gate. But the angle pillar should not face the centre of the door.

1. East side portico is good for health, name and fame to male members.
2. North side portico is good for money and health to female members.
3. For portico at south side, it should not down than the south side roof, and also it should not slope towards south side, it is so the elders or female members may suffer with unhealthy problems.
4. For portico at west side, it should not down than the west side roof, and also it should not slope towards west side, it is so the elders or male members may suffer with unhealthy problems.

1. If the steps are at Eshan side or eshan corner, the inmates may suffer with Cancer type or severe ill health problems.
2. If the steps are at East side towards Eshan corner then the inmates suffer bad name and their works cannot go smooth, they may have bad name in the society their expenditures are also very high even they have good income.
3. Steps should always come into Agneya side or Vayavya sides, if so it will balace the vastu.
4. There is no count for steps. You can place any as per your requirement and convenience. Internal staircase has to be provided, for example then the room in the north east and north west should be left out.
5. Suppose a linear staircase is designed either inside the house or outside the house. Then it should be from east to west or north to south. Then it may take any direction.
6. If you want to construct the stairs at outside provide in eastern south east, the eastern compound wall should not be touched. It should be from north to south and proceed from there towards north from south after the landing. That will lead to entry into the first floor in an exalted position.

1. It is auspicious to grow an abundance of fragrant colourful flowers, herbs, evergreen plants like money plant in the north, to attract wealth and luck.

East is associated with growth and gets morning rays of the sun, so be sure not to plant any tall trees here which may block these rays.North-east is the ideal place for a lily pond, a small pond or a fountain. Medicinal plants and herbs such as tulsi, coriander, thyme and mind would be auspicious here.
3. South of your house, you can plant trees that are tall enough to block out the harmful rays of the midday sun. South-east is ideal to grow herbs, mint, fennel, basil and roses or a barbecue should be grown here. A citrus plant is considered lucky here.
4. West of your house, you can plant tall trees and metal garden furniture is suitable for a garden in the west direction. South-west, being the earth zone, is the right place for heavy stone sculptures and rock gardens. Rock gardens should kept sloping down towards the north or east.
5. Keep the centre of your garden clean and uncluttered. Do not allow dead leaves, twigs or any other junk to pile up there. Dead and drying or diseased plants must be removed immediately.
6. Auspicious trees which can be planted within the house limits are mango, coconut, bel, neem, betel, champa, devdaru, chandan, mahua and saal.
